What you get
The extractor reads the HTML the way a crawler does, without running scripts. Every <meta> tag is listed with its line number, grouped into Open Graph (including article: and fb:), Twitter and everything else, such as description, robots, viewport and theme colour. Tags found inside <body> are marked, because some crawlers only read the head.
Link elements show their resolved address next to the one in the source, using <base href>, the page URL you enter, og:url or the canonical link. hreflang alternates get their own table, and each JSON-LD block is parsed, with its @type values listed or the JSON error shown. Copy as JSON gives you the whole result for a script or a bug report.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I get a page’s HTML?
Open the page, choose View Page Source (Ctrl+U or Cmd+Option+U), select all and paste. Saving the page as an .html file and dropping it here works too.
Does it handle messy HTML?
Yes. Unquoted attributes, upper-case tags, comments, scripts that contain tag-like text and missing closing tags are all handled the way browsers handle them.
Is the HTML sent anywhere?
No. It is parsed in your browser and nothing is loaded from the links it contains.
